We help private landlords, property owners and residents look after the areas they share. Choose the communal rooms and tasks you need; shared kitchens and bathrooms are included when selected and allowed for in the booked time. Private bedrooms and individual flats are outside this communal-area service. Discuss a regular schedule, with frequency and availability confirmed for your property.

What Does HMO Communal Cleaning Include?

Your agreed checklist can cover vacuuming carpets and stairs, mopping suitable hard floors, dusting accessible surfaces and wiping handrails, door handles and other touchpoints. For selected shared kitchens, tasks can include worktops, sinks and hob surfaces; for selected shared bathrooms, toilets, basins and showers. We agree priorities and time around the property’s size, condition and use. A converted house can be booked for its entrance and stairs only, with the same two-hour minimum.

Do You Need to Provide Cleaning Equipment?

Yes. Please keep a vacuum cleaner, mop and bucket available in your HMO or converted property. Provide your preferred cleaning products, or select our fixed-price eco-products add-on. Equipment and access should be ready before the appointment so the booked time can be used for cleaning.

Cleaning equipment at your property

Please arrange access to the shared areas and let us know any entry instructions when requesting your clean. The following must be available and in working order:

  • A working vacuum cleaner
  • A mop and bucket
  • Access to hot water and electricity
  • Your preferred cleaning products, unless the eco-products add-on is selected

Eco-friendly products add-on

Fixed £4.00 per cleaning visit

Prefer us to bring cleaning products? Select the eco-friendly products add-on when booking. It costs a fixed £4 per cleaning visit, in addition to your hourly cleaning charge.

The add-on supplies cleaning products only. A working vacuum cleaner, mop and bucket must still be available at the property.
